One of the days off, I went to Phuket Town with my friend Tao. We ate breakfast (Thai breakfast is like any other meal) at a vegetarian restaurant. There are many veggie places there due to Taoist Chinese immigration to work in the tin mines. We also visited Chinese temples.
I also was invited to be a guest on Phuket Sail tours and we went to famous and beautiful Phrang Nga Bay. There were seven passengers (two Australian women, a couple from the Philippines and their daughter who live in Queens, NY, and me, with the owner, Captain Mark, the captain Ik, and the cook who kept the food coming).
From our dingy, we went into deep and dark caves and saw stalagmite formations and lots of bats.
We were swimming and saw this jelly fish. Ik is showing it to us, then let it go. He said that "it only stings a little bit".
We also waded through water through a cave to a hong (an interior courtyard of water or land surrounded by mountain or cliffs).
